Saint-Estèphe Red

The wines of Chateau Lilian Ladouys have always been good but since the purchase of the estate by the Lorenzetti family, they are now super and some of the best value Bordeaux to be found. This improvement has been validated by the raising of the status of the Chateau to Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel level in 2020. The estate is also undergoing the conversion to Organic status to further demonstrate their desire to improve. This is a wonderful wine; starbright in appearance with lashings of ripe raspberry fruit and super smooth tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot blend from a Cru Bourgeois property in Margaux - this wine shows finesse, elegance and complexity. Sweet red fruits with cedar and herbal complexity. Smooth and silky on the palate. Juicy, raspberry purity which is backed up by a fleshy feel in the mouth, fine tannin and a juicy finish. The Saint-Estèphe stoney character comes through too, but with added richness. Will age nicely.
